The American Revolution

Hello Everyone!

I am back with another post on some great work that we are doing in class.  This week we began researching about the American Revolution.  The students began watching videos, reading articles and books on the causes and events that led up to the American Revolution.  We will be doing some exciting work in reading and writing workshop on this topic.

Black History Month

Hello Everyone!!

For next few weeks, we will study the biographies of famous African-Americans who had a transformational effect on the lives of others.  Your children will learn about the life of Ruby Bridges and study how her courage led to the integration of public schools.  I invite all of you to find stories of famous African-Americans that have inspired you!

Food Chains

Hello everyone!
We are learning about food chains and food webs in class.  The students will need to create their own food web and sustain it.  There is an awesome BrainPop game called Food Fight.  Students will use this simulated game to create a food web that centered around an animal of their choice.  They will have to complete against another classmate to see who can create the best food web.
